Main characteristics of MDF:

MDF is an abbreviation of the English words Medium Density Fiberboard and literally translates as “finely dispersed fraction”. In other words, it is a wood fiber board made from wood waste by pressing. Lignin, a natural polymer, as well as various resins with the addition of melamine, are used as auxiliary materials for gluing in the production of MDF.

MDF is a fairly durable material with high mechanical characteristics. Ease of processing makes it possible to manufacture doors of any configuration.

Types of decorative MDF coating

Lamination:

an artificial material is glued over the canvas – laminate, which has high mechanical characteristics. Laminate consists of a paper layer and a protective film. It can be made in a wide range of colors with the application of a textured pattern under the tree.

Veneering:

finishing the canvas with veneer from natural wood or eco-veneer. Natural veneer is made by cutting thin plates from valuable wood species. It preserves the natural pattern of the wood and is an excellent alternative to expensive solid wood. The Fine Line technology allows for the production of veneer from so-called “commercial” wood by peeling and subsequent gluing of sheets.

PVC film coating:

Doors with such a coating are quite resistant to mechanical damage and moisture. Technologies allow for the production of PVC film in various colors and the application of a decorative pattern.
Painting is the simplest and most affordable way to decorate doors. Modern paint and varnish coatings allow you to make the door matte or glossy, without limiting the color scheme.
